5 year
Ganga Institute of Architecture & Town Planning offers a B.Arch. (5-Year) Degree Course with an intake of 40 seats. The Bachelor of Architecture is a five-year professional degree programme offered on a full-time, semester-based basis. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the field of architecture.
The B.Arch. programme starts with foundation subjects related to design, drawing and architectural history. As students progress, they study areas such as architectural design, building construction and materials, structural design, architectural graphics, building services, landscape design, urban design and green architecture. The curriculum also includes subjects related to estimating and costing, building bye-laws, professional practice and research methodology.
The course also includes different practical and academic activities. The official curriculum mentions heritage walks, construction site visits, industrial visits and educational tours. In the later part of the programme, students complete a thesis and practical training through an internship. The institute states that its B.Arch. programme follows the syllabus and ordinance of Maharishi Dayanand University and is designed according to the guidelines of the Council of Architecture.
Curriculum: Architectural design, building construction and materials, structural design, architectural graphics, building services, landscape design, urban design, green architecture and other subjects listed in the institute's curriculum
I read on the website that anyone applying for B.Arch. Must score at least fifty percent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least fifty percent overall at the 10+2 level. If you have finished a 10+3 diploma and Mathematics is a subject and you have at least fifty percent overall you can also apply. Additionally B.Arch. Applicants must pass a recognised aptitude test in Architecture like the NATA or a similar test run by the Council of Architecture.
I also found that the institute says B.Arch. Admission can be earned either through Haryana State Government (HSTES) counselling or by admission. For admission B.Arch. Admission depends on the NATA score and other eligibility rules. The official website lists all the paperwork needed for B.Arch. Admission, such, as the marksheet, the 12th class or 3-year diploma marksheet the NATA score card, a character certificate, an Aadhaar card, a medical certificate, a reserved‑category certificate if you qualify and six passport‑size photographs. The institute also makes clear that B.Arch. Direct lateral admission is not offered at any year or stage of the B.Arch. Course.
