MSIET is an engineering school in Kalanaur Khurd close to Khairari Mod in the city of Rohtak, Haryana. It was started by the Maa Saraswati Education Society in February 2009. The campus covers 16 acres of land. MSIET can be reached by road from towns. MSIET has approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Is linked with Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak. MSIET offers B.Tech courses, in engineering branches and other programs can be found on MSIET’s website.
The campus provides academic, practical and student-support facilities, including laboratories, library, internet connectivity, seminar facilities, language lab, medical room and hostel facilities.
The institute's current eligibility page lists the following B.Tech programmes:
The website also has separate listings for 11th–12th Science Stream and B.Voc. in Medical Lab Technology under its courses section.
For first-year B.Tech admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 from CBSE, HBSE or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate. For reserved-category students, the requirement mentioned on the institute's eligibility page is 40%.
Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of the specified subjects such as Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology. The regular B.Tech programme has a duration of four years.
The institute also provides a lateral-entry route to B.Tech. Candidates who have completed a relevant Polytechnic diploma or a B.Sc. with PCM can seek admission to the second year, subject to the eligibility requirements. The lateral-entry route has a duration of three years.
For B.Tech admissions, the institute's page mentions that 75% of sanctioned seats are filled through the Haryana State Counselling Society, while the remaining 25% are governed by the institute's admission committee. The page currently contains older references to JEE Main 2014, so that year-specific reference has not been presented as a current admission rule.
The institute's eligibility page also lists BBA eligibility separately. Candidates must have completed 12th/10+2 or an equivalent examination with 45% marks, with admission based on performance in an interview conducted by the institutional management committee.
MSIET provides practical learning through laboratories and workshops connected with its engineering programmes. The campus has a computer laboratory with 80 computers, along with laboratories for electrical technology, mechanical engineering, basic electronics, chemistry and physics.
The Mechanical Lab includes equipment such as lathe, welding, drilling and grinding machines. The Electrical Technology and Basic Electronics laboratories provide individual experimental setups and instruments for practical work.
The institute also provides a language lab designed to support students' personality development and professional confidence. Seminar facilities with audio-visual equipment are available for interactive academic and industry-related sessions.
MSIET has a Training and Placement Cell that works with companies and organisations for campus recruitment activities. The institute describes interaction with industry and educational institutions as part of its placement and professional-development activities.
The placement section also mentions seminars and industrial visits as part of the institute's activities. Students are supported through placement-related coordination and interaction with recruiters.
The institute also provides personality development and English-speaking classes for students, supporting communication and professional-development skills.
The institute lists the following scholarship-related benefits on its website:
These benefits are listed under the institute's scholarship scheme.
The campus provides facilities to support academic and student life, including:
The library includes reading, reference and journal sections, along with e-journal facilities. The campus also has internet connectivity and LAN facilities.
Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls within the campus, with facilities including a mess and common room. The institute also has a medical room and ambulance facility for emergencies.
I see that the institute has faculty members across its engineering departments and these faculty members support classroom teaching, laboratory work and other academic activities. The academic structure includes departments associated with Computer Science & Engineering Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
I also notice that the institute provides practical and professional development activities, alongside classroom education including laboratory work, seminars, industrial visits and personality development activities.
