The MBA programme covers parts of management and business learning. I think this wide range helps students build a foundation.
In the year students can pick a specialisation from four areas: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and Information Technology. I appreciate that students get to focus on what interests them.
The programme also includes research projects and two months of summer training, giving students an opportunity to gain practical exposure alongside their academic learning.
Besides classroom lessons students join presentations, group discussions, role plays, conferences, seminars and workshops. These activities allow students to develop communication, analytical thinking, presentation and other skills that're valuable in a professional environment.
The department also offers communication skills enrichment workshops, for MBA students to help MBA students enhance their communication abilities.
An MBA can help students discover opportunities in various fields of business and management. Based on their specialisation and skills graduates can start careers in areas like marketing, finance, human resources and information technology.
The Department of Management also has a Training and Placement Cell. This cell is led by a Placement Officer who helps students, with activities related to placements.
