Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Major Bihari Lal Memorial College of Education, Gurugram

The Bachelor of Education B Ed programme at Major Bihari Lal Memorial College of Education Gurugram is a two year professional teacher education course affiliated with Gurugram University and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE. The programme is designed to prepare teachers with the knowledge teaching skills and professional competencies required for a successful career, in the education sector. It combines learning with practical teaching experience to develop skilled, responsible and effective educators.

Candidates who want to get into the B.Ed. Program need to have at least 50% marks in their Bachelors Degree or in their Masters Degree or in any other qualification that is seen as the same. If a candidate has both a Bachelors and a Masters degree the higher percentage of marks from either of those exams will be used when making the list of people who're eligible. Admissions happen based on the rules set by Gurugram University, NCTE and the Government of Haryana.

As per the admission guidelines SC/ST candidates from Haryana State and Blind/Persons with Disabilities and Visually/Hearing Impaired candidates are eligible with 47.5% marks in the qualifying examination. There is no rounding off of marks for determining eligibility; therefore 49.5% marks will not be treated as 50%. Candidates who have a compartment in the qualifying examination are not eligible for admission to the B.Ed. Programme.

The B.Ed. Programme is offered in full-time mode with a duration of two years. Follows an annual examination system. The course is designed to provide students with both knowledge and practical teaching experience helping them develop classroom management skills teaching methodologies and professional ethics essential for a successful career in education.
