Advanced Diploma in Taxation (ADT) is a short professional program,designed to help students understand the basics of taxation and how the tax system works in India.. This diploma course provides the practical knowledge of tax concepts and its application to the real world.

The ADT programme gives students valuable knowledge of key taxation areas such as income taxes, goods, and service tax (GST), tax planning, tax returns, tax compliance and corporate taxation. Students gain knowledge on how to compute tax, knowledge of government tax regulations as well as the ability to apply such regulations appropriately in computing individual and business tax.

The course can be helpful to those students who want to build a career in accounting or finance as well as tax consultancy or related business fields.

The course combines classroom and practical training in order to make students understand how to apply the tax laws to business activities in their daily routine. The concept of taxes is described in a simple manner by the teachers, hence easier to learn by beginners.

At the completion of the programme, students have an opportunity to qualify to prepare basic tax reports and they can understand and learn how taxes are managed in an organisation.

Eligibility and Admission:

Students should have successfully completed class 12 (10 +2) or any undergraduate degree from a recognised board or university in order to enroll in the Advanced Diploma in Taxation. No particular subject is mandatory and therefore students of any stream can apply. Admission to this programme is conducted by university on merit basis or application review.

Career Opportunities:

Students are able to hold positions as a tax assistant, tax consultant, an accounting associate, a finance support staff or an office executive after obtaining the Advanced Diploma in Taxation. The diploma also makes the students ready to apply for additional courses in finance and taxation.
