The Maa Omwati Institute of Management & Technology Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a professional teacher training course that lasts two years and aims at providing students interested in pursuing a career in teaching and education. This course equips future teachers with knowledge, skills, and values necessary to be educators in the pursuit of secondary and senior secondary education. Graduates who are enthusiastic about education and molding young minds are ideal to fit in it.

Course Structure

The B.Ed. program will be split into 4 semesters and have the following components:

1. Core Education Subjects

Some of the subjects that students learn under education and teaching effectively include:

• Childhood and Growing Up
• Learning and Teaching
• Educational Psychology
• Management and Leadership of School.
• India and Education in the Contemporary Period.

These topics assist them to learn about the conduct of students and efficient pedagogy.

2. Pedagogy (Teaching Subjects)

According to their backgrounds in graduation, students prefer one or two teaching subjects where they include:

• English
• Hindi
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies

This coursework could include options such as drop-in work (e.g., visiting the library to utilize certain materials) or optional work (e.g., company visits).

3. Ability Enhancement & Skill-Based Courses

These courses aim at enhancing professional teaching and involve:

• Communication Skills
• ICT in Education
• Classroom Management
• Inclusive Education
• Teaching Practice/ Internship.

Practical training and teaching, classroom teaching and lesson planning are all completed by students as they are exposed to real teaching in school.

Eligibility Criteria

• Should have graduated (BA, BSc, BCom, or any other) at an accredited university.
• Entry is done on merit or entrance test according to the state government and university standards.

• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
• Mode Full-time regular course.
