Through our university, Rawal Institute of Management offers the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program for those who wish to earn an advanced degree in Computer Applications, Software Development and Information Technology. Our targeted student base are all undergraduate graduates who have an interest in being able to move into more advanced positions in the IT industry - including Software Development, IT-based businesses and any technology driven organization.

The MCA program also provides graduates with a complete skillset to allow them to be highly qualified professionals within their field of study.

Course Structure

The MCA program lays emphasis on theoretical as well as training (practical) and entails the following aspects:

1. Core Computer Application Subjects

Students learn higher level courses on the computer applications including:

• Higher-order Programming Languages.
• Algorithms and Data Structures.
• Database Management Systems.
• Operating Systems
• Software Engineering
• Computer Networks

These topics allow the students to learn the development and management of complex software systems.

2. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC)

The courses will assist in enhancing professional and communication skills:

• Technical and Business communication.
• Environmental Studies

3. Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC)

Skill-based courses revolve around current IT tools and technologies, and it may involve:

• Web Application Development.
• Python and Java Programming
• Cloud Computing Basics
• Information Decoding and Cyber Security.

4. Projects and Practical Training

They engage the students in lab work, small-scale projects and a big end-of year project which assist the students in having an actual industry experience.

Eligibility Criteria

• Should have graduated (BCA, BSc or any equivalent) in any recognized university.
• One normally requires mathematics at 10+2 or at graduation as per the institute requirements.

• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
